Empowerment Self-Defense is grounded in 5 safety action principles: Think, Yell, Run, Fight, Tell.
In this 4-hour seminar, you'll learn how to set clear and effective boundaries, practice assertiveness with peers and strangers, move through life with better awareness of your surroundings, and respond to violence or threats of violence by deescalating, escaping, or fighting. We'll practice a series of strikes and escapes from grabs and chokes, both standing and on the ground.

The cost of this session is $40 per participant. To protect the health and safety of participants, you have the option of no contact with others (hitting pads only). If you’d like to practice with physical contact, we encourage you to come as a germ-pod group of 2, and we offer a $5-per-person discount for teams ($70 registration per two-person team).
